Help! Gas leak
So today I filled up my car, and drove around for about 30 minutes before going home. When I got out, I smelled gas so I popped the hood, and nothing. Then I noticed gas rushing out of the fuel cap, and when I tried to open it, more came out. Could it be a lose cap?

Welcome to CL.
You didn't say what specific vehicle this is or how old it is. But, assuming it is a 1996 or newer American-spec vehicle with an OBD-II engine/emissions-management system, a bad seal on the fuel-filler cap (especially if it is bad enough that raw gas is leaking out) should trigger the Check-Engine light, usually located somewhere in the gauge-cluster in a yellow or orange color.

He has a '92 SC300, according to his profile. I have no experience with that vehicle, sorry. Maybe check the SC forums.

The Fuel Cap gasket usually wears out, you should order a new one. A lot of CL members have had this issue in the past. When you're opening your fuel cap, if you don't hear a pressure sound release then it means there is no pressure which means that the gasket of the fuel has worn out. The Part is Lexus 77316-16010
