I'm seeing more and more posts of members basically "retiring" their SC, garaging, or parking it. Getting something else for a daily. Others do circles in the road, park in a parking lot somewhere and do instagrams. I have another suggestion - DRIVE IT

I went out and put over 3,500 mls on mine "The Bullet" in about a week. It's a '92 w over 1/4 mill miles on it. And had a BLAST, loved every mile. Crossed the desert went over the Rockies and up into the Black Hills of the Dakotas. Saw some awesome country.

I got comps w my purple car in Wyoming! Got comps everywhere, they loved the Bullet. The best part was driving it in all those 80 mile speed limits and no traffic. I'm back had no problems, of course I did a complete check before I left. Loved the gas prices.

In my book if you haven't moded the hell out of yours or let it get way down your good for a long time, these cars are bulletproof. I don't know of one of these engines just dyeing. In my book according to my car these are probably the best built mass produced cars ever. If done right, they have the timeless classic sports car look

of course,I couldn't have done this trip if I was, slammed, dropped, lowered or had a lip

awesome shots, my girlfriend and i take road trips to starved rock from chicago which is about 150 miles there and back, so it's a decent cruise, and my car is my daily so in the past year i've put 20k miles on it. i'll keep driving it until it implodes lol.

Awesome! I love cross country driving.
2 months back I drove a friend's car from Chicago to San Francisco with a detour to Yellowstone. 2 weeks later I drove another car from Chicago to New York City lol.

The only concern me and my friends have with the cross country drive was the severe lack of 93 octane from Iowa all the way to California. We discussed the idea of tuning our cars to run on 91, that way we'd have no issues whatsoever on the drive.

BTW, I can't suggest this more: TRIM THE EXCESS FROM YOUR LIFE AND GET IN YOUR CAR AND GO. DO IT NOW WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG.

This is exactly why I bought my SC, (to drive the wheels off it & back) No turbo, NO Eibachs, Just plain ole proper maintanence, Mild body kit, Paint & a couple of tricks from the 70's. When she's done & ready & the time is at hand, She'll be criss crossing the entire continental U.S. & maybe even Alaska. I've already have 235k on her & I've put 120k of that on it without a drive train problem. just had to re-do some worn suspension parts. Gotta do some required maint under the hood, then that part is golden. the rest is just to add my personal touch & make me happy. BTW 96 SC 400. MIdnight Indigo Pearl. (SC's were born to run the long haul)
