Default Ponder this - Soarer v/s SC

With all the hype in the states about the Soarer and it's features, the special suspention, the different engines, the right hand drive, ... do you suppose elsewhere they might want to import the SC as we like to import the Soarer? You know, the ricers jumped on the Japanese bandwagon with all the font all over there cars and produced the oversea's look, just as people elsewhere in the world want things from other countries just because they don't see it often. I'm sure this applies to many things such as italian clothing for instance. So, is it possible even with the lack of goodies the SC has in comparison to the Soarer that we may have a car that is collected in another country just so people say they can have a left hand drive SC instead of a right hand drive Soarer? We always tend to see people wanting things that aren't common in our country so we get them from somewhere else.

I'll tell ya what, you find me an oversea's buyer for an insane amount of cash and i'll be the first to get my car on the boat i've been waiting to upgrade to the newer year sc anyway .YES! my 1992 SC400 is RARE i tell ya! (in southern africa).

Seriously, you figure you may be driving something that someone in another country would like to have just as you would like what they do.

i'm sure it is, but is probably cheapter to import from japan than the US.
The japanese cars also usually have less mileage.

so you're saying that you want to sell your car to someone outside the states?
i dont think anyone would want one, because in the USA, we get the left over japanese cars. the japanese cars we got are 2 years older then the ones released in japan.
the toyota soarer came out in 1990, when we just got the first one in 1992. its just how exporting and importing goes, some 2 year spand.
In japan cars are very cheap, they can get like a 95 toyota soarer GT 4.0 (SC400) for like 6k.
the only reason why cars are alittle more in the states, is because of shipping fees, customs, etc.
why would someone in japan want a car from the states? to be different? i dont think so.
they have way better cars then the imported ones we get.
most of their cars are turbo, everyone in japan loves wangman racing (highspeed highwa battles)
they also like drifting.
for some reason the got a fetish of Vans, i think they're called: Vannerzz

so if you say that their might be someone that wants the car for a collectors item, that might work, who knows, their might be some strange old guy that wants your car.

why would someone in japan want a car from the states?
Japan isnt really an option on the importing. there are other countries on continents that would be the more likely event in this ponder. (and no, my sc isnt going anywhere ) I'm curious as to why you are focusing on japan. it's a big world

I'd actually love to import one for when I go back home for visits (around annually)... Lexus SC400, as in the Philippines it's LHD... I was thinking about importing my personal Soarer over there and back for my visits, but then when you add up the costs of freight + insurance, customs clearance at both ends and huge taxes that cars bring along with it... nahhh...
