I give up on the clunking
#76
In the video I have both the OEM rotor and the aftermarket with the same outcome so just a coincidence but again, I was just excited at the time and thought I found it but its not. Its suspension related no doubt.
i'm starting to get another clunk when i'm braking, but here's the weird part, it's only the driver side and it only happens at low speeds. say i'm driving 45, stop at a light and right before i stop, like 5mph or so, there's a loud clunk, and i can feel it in the brake pedal, WTF IS IT!??! it's so weird, and it only happens like once or twice when during each trip, or when the car is cold, i don't get it!?!

i doubt that's my issue, it could be a caliper sticking maybe, i need to rebuild my calipers, my pedal is so soft and i've bled the brakes 1000000 times.

Yea i ordered new sway bar bushings from eBay for $14, brand is prothane i think. I really hope that's the issue and not my coil overs or LCAs.

well i'm an idiot, i was playing around with the suspension yesterday, bouncing on the car trying to see where the sound is coming from and realized i'm an idiot. the bottom bolt on the right link wasn't torqued all the way down, it has some slack, so tomorrow when i have time i'll get that torqued down and we'll see if that fixes my clunking issues. if i have time i'll change the bushings as well which came in the mail today.

yep, there was slack, cranked it down really hard, changed the bushings and my car is silent and more stable than ever. finally happy this is over with. now just gotta figure out what the clunk is when i'm braking. say i'm coming to a stop holding the brakes, once i'm below a certain speed, 20-10mph there's a loud single clunk. it doesn't happen again for a while, just sort of randomly. no idea what it could be but it doesn't bother me that much.

no mine is a clunk in the front, i can feel it in the pedal too. my 4th solenoid is on a switch that is rarely switched off. my tranny downshifting is another issue all together lol. it's sometimes more rough downshifting to 1st as well. i feel like it's when it's cold. hopefully a fluid flush will help.
