Hey all,
long time lurker, first time poster. Read ALL of Gerb's build thread one weekend...and then he just ditched it and got another, then another...anyway...

A drunk driver came up our exit ramp one night and struck the car in front of me. An entire wheel assembly, all the way up to the frame, was torn off one of their vehicles and went shooting up the interstate, right under me on the driver side.

When I started tearing out the damaged pieces, this is the one I've come to that I need advice on:



The part the arrows point to is mangled. Worse on the driver's side but the whole thing is pretty trashed.

The sway bar was also bent, of course radiator was trashed...but the AC was still pressurized! Couldn't believe it. Cracked the bottom housing on the rack and pinion...

Could've been much, much worse.
