Don't make a damn account just so you can buy something. That **** is annoying.

Plus, this is the wrong place to get something.

Lol chill man did you even read it? He's looking for a local member to try and test his ECU out for him, not to buy things. I think it's a good idea, although the title could've been better..

I'm sure someone local will help ya out. Make sure you don't have any fouled plugs or wires.

A little more info on your situation and condition would be helpful in diagnosing the problems...

I don't know the condition or story on your car, but backfire (firing back up through the intake) is usually caused by cam timing or wiped cams...
I know you said your timing was dead on, but that's where I would double, triple check first.

Back firing hardly ever goes back into the intake yet it IS possible. I would assume its running too rich and igniting in the exhaust. The 1UZ runs a bit rich from the factory so this is far more likely.

Have changed the timing belt, coils, compression checked it, recapped ecu and checked the ignition timing with timing light showed 8 degrees which the 1UZ fsm said was right

Man, if only the title could be changed to "Timing issues" or "Running rich" you would have had many people in here answering. "Please help" screams newbie asking questions no one wants to explain for the 13465433rd time. Next time...
