I noticed recently my car seemed little doggy like a drag on it. I felt the wheels last night after work and my front driver side was VERY hot. The caliper was super hot. I should have known what the problem was becouse when the car is in neutral on a grade the car does not roll.
Is there any was to free that caliper?
Thank

usually requires replacement or rebuild as the piston is now sticking; you could try pumping the brakes to see if it will loosen, but not likely.
A great excuse to upgrade to Supra calipers!

There was a similar post a few weeks back- ensure it is not the power brake vacuum assist unit acting up and affecting all calipers. If it is only one caliper, your car would also tend to drift to that side.

I am working on it right now. The other rotors are cool to the touch but the front driver side is hot. Trying to figure out what to do!?! Hit it with a hammer?

isnt heat on the front rotors normal? i had just gotten home after a spirited 20 minute drive and my brakes were squeaking, so i sprayed on some brake cleaner stuff to quiet them down. when i got around to the two front rotors, you could see steam rising as i sprayed on the brake cleaner. this isnt indicative of a problem with my brakes, is it? ive always assumed this was normal because the front brakes are doing most of the stopping.

I had the exact same problem about 3 weeks ago. You need to be careful. You won't be able to do anything until it cools down. i wasn't able to touch it until overnight. When I saw the open caliper, the seals had disintegrated from the heat. I had to replace rotors and calipers. Costly repair, but if you're running large rims, its a good time to upgrade to larger brakes.

I can see now that the bottom ram is stuck I will have my son pump the brakes while I tap it with a hammer. This must be why it grabs only lighly, because only the bottom slide is sticking.

these cars seem to have a problem with seized front calipers - I continue to think it's water in the brake fluid causing internal rusting that makes them stick - this is probably the reason the factory maintenance schedule recommends flushing and replacing brake fluid every 15k miles after the car has 60k miles on it - -
