Wire Tuck, ABS Delete & Engine Bay Painting Questions!
1. So I'm planning a wire tuck, but have a few questions on planning it out! First off, what order should I perform the tuck? For now, I'm talking about the harness(es) that go to the lights, fuse box, etc. Should I plan out where I want to take the wires, perform said wire tuck, then put my car back together/prep it for paint and paint the bay? I want to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible for me.
1A. Is it easy to move the fuse box? If so, where? I've been told the glove box is a fair idea. If so, would I run the wires that come out from the drivers side fender under the dash instead? From my understanding, the harness I'm planning on moving is in a big U shape, with the fuse box in the middle? Or should I make this easy on myself, leave the fuse box and hide the wires that go to it/
1B. Where is a smart choice to run the wires? In my head, my first though was to run the wires through the fenders/along the frame to keep them out of sight... but then I worry about what my tire could (or anything for that matter) do to my wires? The idea is to keep all wires hidden, or mostly.
2. ABS Delete. I removed my ABS and as you can see, I bent my brake lines up out of the way. Is this as easy as I'm imagining, do I just T off the 4 brake lines and call it done? Also, I'll have to run a brake line to the passenger front. Should I just purchase a stainless steel line in whatever length I need, tuck it along the firewall out of the way and back to the brake master cylinder? The idea here is to have as minimal clutter as possible. Also, I will be removing my brake master cylinder to clear my bay 100% for paint.
