Picked up a second SC - 5spd hardtop!
Picked up this car yesterday, Dude had slid into a median and jacked up the subframe and steering rack. It's a five-speed hardtop wingless SC300 with 134k miles. We had a hell of a time loading and unloading it on the trailer due to an almost complete inability to steer, but got it done.
Interior is dirty but in decent shape except for the missing driver's door panel and of course the deployed airbag (likely to be replaced by a Celica wheel). The spare tire even still has the little cover on it, and the factory tools are there and everything. I didn't even notice that it was a hardtop car until I was poking around in it today
I got it up on stands today to look at the carnage, and there's plenty. Shouldn't take much more than new subframes and a steering rack, though. Oil pan is pretty banged up, too, but I have a spare.
Not a bad find for $800. Now I'm not sure what I want to do with it. My plan was an LSx/T56 swap for my red '95, but I was holding off on buying stuff for that until I could find a tranny for cheap (less than $2000). Now that I've got this car, I might end up going back to the JZ route and putting this motor into the '95. Or, I could fix this car and flip it. Or, I could part it out. Or, I could part the interior, sell the drivetrain, LS swap the red car, and keep this body to build a racecar someday (hardtop FTW).
Too many options! Need to make up my mind and get after it if I want to have a car to do road course and street stuff this upcoming season.

It's an '86, but the bumper was pretty destroyed. I got a pristine one from a buddy's '84 complete with lights, so I'll rock it.
You can only see half the shop in that pic lol. The posts on the long wall are 10' OC and there are actually six bays, though you can only see three here. It comes in handy lol, since I have the Dodge parked inside as well and still have a ton of room to work on everything.

Cleaned up the interior a little bit today, and aside from the "Yokohama" imprint in tire dressing where someone stacked a tire in the back seat, it cleaned up pretty well. The pinstripe on the body turned out to be tape instead of paint, so that'll be coming off ASAP. I absolutely despise pinstripes.
I really don't need two SC's, a Mustang, and two daily drivers, but god dammit, I kinda want to keep this car. Maybe still LS swap the red car but go auto until a T56 pops up, and NA-T this one. Hmm....
