what lowers the voltage for the fuel pump below the 4k mark. a resistor right? can i just remove this resistor so the low side will be 12v? this is from an ls i believe. removing the resistor below the relay would put it back at 12v
some of the toyotas like the is300 and the one above have a resistor and the relay switches the current path from high (without resistor) to low (with resistor) as needed, but the sc300 has a fuel pump ecu instead that has all that stuff inside it, it does not have the same relay and external resistor on the car... well, as far as I know of.
all you need to get 12v all the time is to get a simple 12V relay, run the output of the fuel ecu into it to turn it on, and have battery voltage (use fuel pump ecu power wire or run new wire from battery for more power/flow) run to the fuel pump on the other side, check out the 12v mod page for more info on that. include the fuel pump ecu so you have the factory safety stuff and aren't always cycling fuel through the rail (w/ car off).
you can also do the quick way of bypassing the fuel pump ecu (its on the drivers side rear area btw) by connecting the 2 large power wires on the plug (power wire into ecu and power wire to pump), but this looses all safety features and fuel pump will be on most of the time when the key is in the on position (even w/ engine off).
