Default Car trailer for an SC300

Hi, the SC300 is 16 feet long, and I need to haul mine to drift events. I don't want to deal with rental logistics, so I'd rather just own one.

Do you know if I can get away with a 16ft car trailer, or do I have to get the next size up, 18ft?

Get the 18. It's easier to position the car so that you don't exceed tongue weight.

Here's a couple of shots of mine on an 18'. A 16' may work depending on style/design, but I'm willing to bet you'll wish you had an 18' after a short while.

You might want to bring your SC when making the purchase, mine scrapes a bit loading and unloading. Both the front bumper and a little bit of the undercarriage since it's so low. It would suck to buy a trailer and then realize you can't get it on/off after bringing it home.

I really appreciate all the help guys! I'm going to go against my penny-pincher instincts and get an 18ft trailer instead!

Another question though:

wood or metal deck?

Metal.
Yes its heavier but it usually doesn't make that much of a weight difference. I'm assuming the metal is a full deck?

^I'm inclined to go with an open deck instead of full. Seems like it would save on weight. I'm used to the uhaul trailer which is open and I don't see any problem with that.

I like tilt trailers they don't have that hump or ramp effect at the back that lets the under side of car rub on it.
