Painting emblems? Anyone done it? Help...

Okay..first off, if you want to do something w/your chrome..a good and CHEAPER way than getting those 300 chrome replacements(WAY overpriced) is to send them to goldtouchinc.com and get them refinished in whatever you want
I had mine sent back and replated in Platinum finish. It's a bit softer than chrome and worked out very nicely and was not even 1/3 of the price of new replacements.
That's the way to go.
BTW...I love those deep dish rims you have on it.

ALL cars these days have metallic emblems on them. Camrys..solaras..hondas...
Believe me, a chrome emblem will NOT turn any heads.
ALso to put it mildly...we live in a desensitized time. It takes more than a shiney stock looking emblem on an old model lexus to turn heads these days. SO I wouldn't worry about it...u know??? =)
IF you've got 20 inch rims a REALLY nice body kit, and a sound system that people CAN'T ignore ...THEN u have a case.

So what can be done to completely get rid of my fading gold plating? I'm pretty sure it was aftermarket and not done by Lexus. I'm tired of being a pimp with gold emblems, and would like to go back to chrome.

Do what I do and send the gold faded emblems to goldtouchinc.com and have them refinish it in any other finish. Chrome, platinum, or black pearl
