Thanks guys... I've been looking for about 18 months now- I started by looking at more 'affordable' 95 & 96 cars. I think I am just 'done' with waiting for the perfect car.

After I did more homework, I discovered I needed the V-vti and the 5 speed automatic- I drive about 100 miles per day, I figure the taller overdrive will help the fuel economy somewhat. Plus, I like the look of the newer bodywork (although I didn't like the front grille initially, back when it was changed in '97), and the '99-up cars already have the three-spoke steering wheel.

If I could find a clean silver '99 or '00 SC400, I'd still consider buying one, but I really want the newest car I can get. Most of them are gold, white, or black- it just doesn't do it for me on this car. Hence, my switch to the GS400...

zekeangel: thanks for the offer- I really don't want a pre-'98 car, however.

I've already located a clean 2000 GS400 in Spectra Blue on Grey- has everything but the Nav... stay tuned!
