Default Vent-Duct Formation?

I've never removed the dash before; so I'm wondering about the structure of the duct-work, because I have an idea for an install that depends on it's shape.

What I'm wondering is, behind the center vents (above HVAC), are those ducts a unit; as in example "A", or are they independent ducts, as in picture "B"?
Even if their routes aren't exactly how I drew it, I just need to know if they're connected or not; basically.

In other words, if it's like example "A"; then that means I can block-off one side, and air will still come out the other; which is what I'm hoping for.
If it's like "B" however, then I can't do what I want, because it'll clog/choke that one vent-shaft.

Basically, I wanna block-off one side; in order to replace that vent w/ a control unit (like an EDFC).
I wanna mount it in that same space where one of the center vents was originally located.

Can't wait to see it when it is finished. Is the plan an EDFC?

Nice! I wasn't sure if it was something that is useful having access to full time. I thought they were a set it and forget it type of thing.

It's possible; I haven't installed it yet.
I use my glove box and center console though; so I don't want to occupy that space.
Also, it looks really cool up there
