Yes, I used the same grommets by the tail light harness but I had to extend the leads since they were too short. I have a similar camera by that company.

Bingo! Glad it's not just me. It's crazy how, in so many categories, companies will make a great product and then limit its application with silly little oversights like that. You know you've got to route a wire through a bumper and into a trunk, which probably won't be a straight shot in many cases. Wouldn't you want 3' of wire lead to cover your bases?

Did you cut and splice them or just add patch cables and weatherize the junctions? RCA cables are tough to splice, if I'm not mistaken, because of the inner/outer signal paths.

For the camera leads, I cut and spliced (but connector) those together to make it longer. As far as the RCA, I had an extra long RCA cable that I ran up to my unit. I found another hole with a grommet for the RCA feed. So, I had plenty of slack in the leads as well as the RCA cable.

Normally, I try to separate the power lines from the Signal (RCA in this case) to avoid interference.

That's always smart to separate power and signal lines, especially with something like a cheap RCA cable with little shielding. Of course, with all the wiring throughout the car, it's probably exposed to a ton of interference no matter what.

If you happen to remember what grommet you used for the video cable, let us know. I searched the back of the trunk and couldn't find anything else. Did you go under the trunk to one of the drain holes, maybe?

I didn't go through the drain holes but I think I feed the cable through an existing hole and used an grommet to seal it. I don't recall drilling a hole for this.

0.6 meters is the same as all the other sub-24" (the measurement probably includes the RCA length, which doesn't help make the turn on our cars) models on the market. 1.5 meters will be perfect. I've seen the AUO-VOX name plenty in searching Amazon options, and they seem to be as solid a brand as any.
