Soarer experts and those in the know, need production statistics answer
Someone is trying to tell me that no 91 year soarer ever came with a manual. That they didn't get that as an option till later. Can someone confirm or deny that? I know I've seen 91 soarers WITH a manual (whether that's factory or retrofitted I can't really figure out because I haven't been able to check stats and model year changes). I do know that the 91 only came with tan or spruce interior but I was under the impression that you could get the manual on any model year soarer. Please fill me in here. Also, if someone has some factual evidence that would help my case.

The Soarer had the R154 manual transmission offered up with the 1jz-gte from 1991-2000

I can also confirm this. 1991 was the first year for the JZZ30 Soarer and the R154 5-speed was offered as an option at launch. When I was able to import an early-type Soarer R154 shifter extension housing and shift arm for my MKIII R154 the part numbers specifically referenced 1991 to late-1993 JZZ30 5-speed models (1994 and newer Soarers got the tripod R154's all the way through the end of production in 2000).
