7M-GTE CPS settings to Infinity 8 Cam/Crank Wizard Setup?
Hello,
I'm having a pretty basic issue that most likely is either I have the cam/crank signals going to the wrong pins or my cam/crank wizard settings are wrong and need to be corrected.
I am using the AEM Infinity 8.
The engine is a na-T 2JZ-GE from a 92 Lexus SC300 and I had to remove the factory distributor assembly for turbo clearance.
I am running a 7M-GTE cam position sensor from a 1990 Supra Turbo to give the Infinity 8 cam/crank signal.
The vehicle was running with the AEM Version 2 EMS and am now using the Infinity 8 so the Cam Position Sensor itself shouldn't be the issue. Also to further deduce that the CPS is good, with the key ON when I manually spin the CPS , I get rpm reading on the live data and can hear the injectors and coils firing, but I cannot get the car to start so I am thinking my problem lies in my Cam/Crank Wizard Set up settings or perhaps I have the signals going to the wrong ECU pins.
I have Wired in the 7M-GTE Crank Position Sensor as follows:
NE to C1-45 Crank VR+
G- to C1-46 Crank VR-
G1 to C1-48 Cam VR+
G- to C1-47 Cam VR-
G2 (Not used)
I have the Cam/Crank Wizard currently set on "Toyota Supra (1993-1998 Turbo USDM)"
What would you suggest I do , change , or check?
Thank you so much in advance for your help,
Dave

Here is the Tuning file now.
Please check it out and let me know what you think.
You'll need to open the saved session from the Infinity Tuner.
Thanks

Alright! Got it running using the regular 12 tooth Toyota Supra cam/crank wizard setup setting. It runs smoother on that setting than the 24 tooth 1 mag custom set up.
The problem was two fold.
1. The battery was too weak so I couldn't crank it long enough to get the aem to green light the stat sync then fire the coils/injectors. I forgot that it's typical for them to crank a little longer than a factory ecu before they'll allow themselves to start.
2. After popping in the charged battery it started up but idled poorly and I could hear a little back fire through the intake indicating to me that the ignition timing was excessively retarded. I verified it with a timing light, removed the CPS, advanced it 1 tooth, reinstalled and VROOM, she started up and idled smooth. Good stuff.
Here's a Vid of it running
