Oil Rebates! (Mobil 1, Pennzoil, Quaker State)
I posted this up elsewhere a long while back, but don't think that area of the forums gets much traffic, and I was reminded of it because I just got me Mobil 1 rebate in the mail yesterday from my most recent purchase
So thought I'd post over here where people will actually see it and probably benefit from it. I've put a link to the original thread below, and also copied and pasted the main post so you can just see it all right here.
One thing to note, it looks like the Pennzoil rebate isn't currently active, but just google Pennzoil Oil Rebate and you can watch for when one becomes active again as these rebates expire, but always show back up a month or two later.

A bunch of us locals always use these rebates when doing our oil changes. We are bargain shoppers and it's pretty much the best deal I've found on oil, and quality big name brand stuff at that! Figured I'd share in case anyone else is interested.
MOBIL:
This is pretty much the best deal. We've found the 5qt jugs to be the best price if purchased from Walmart or Amazon. The rebate website does not show that they are approved vendors, but we've confirmed with the rebate center that they will honor them, and we've done it several times in the past. But I'd still email them yourself to verify and have that proof for yourself. Mobil rebates also are fairly quick, show up in the mail usually within a month for me.
($23 jug of M1 syn - $12 rebate = $11 for jug of M1 syn)
($14 jug of M5000 - $7 rebate = $7 for jug of M5000 conventional)

$15 rebate with purchase of five quarts of Mobil 1™ synthetic motor oil and a Mobil 1™ Extended Performance Oil Filter
$12 rebate with purchase of five quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil
$10 rebate with purchase of five quarts of Mobil Super™ Synthetic motor oil
$7 rebate with purchase of five quarts of any Mobil Super™ motor oil
Maximum 2 rebates per household.

PENNZOIL PLATINUM:
This is almost as good of a deal as Mobil. It's only for syn though. And in my opinion, arguably a better oil than M1. Again best places we've found to buy are Walmart or Amazon. Their rebate website also doesn't list them as approved retailers but I have email confirmations say they will accept, and I've done it in the past with success. But I'd still email them yourself to verify and have that proof for yourself. Pennzoil rebates for me have typically been much slower, usually a couple months until I get the rebate. but it still comes none-the-less.
($22.50 jug of Pennz Plat - $10 rebate = $12.50 for jug of Pennz Plat syn)

MAIL-IN OR ONLINE REBATE OFFER:
To receive a $2 per quart mail-in rebate, for a maximum rebate of $48 per person, household or address (email and physical). Purchase one or more of the following qualifying motor oils

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QUAKER STATE :
On their website, around me there is the normal approved retailers like O-Reilly's. I wrote them asking if they'd accept Walmart or Amazon (again best prices are found there), but did not get a reply. However I have used this before and they accepted my Walmart receipt, so it's fairly safe to say it's fine, but again I'd suggest emailing them yourself so you have written confirmation of your own, never hurts. In my opinion, it's arguably the best of these three oils. Also allows up to 3 rebates per household. Here's a breakdown of this deal:
($20 jug of QSUD - $7 rebate = $13 for jug of QSUD syn)

To receive a mail-in rebate up to $7, purchase one or more of the following qualifying motor oils:
(1) 5-quart bottle OR (5) 1-quart bottles of Quaker State® Ultimate Durability™ Full Synthetic motor oil (receive a $7 rebate) (1) 5-quart bottle OR (5) 1-quart bottles of Quaker State® Defy High Mileage Engine™ motor oil (receive a $5 rebate) (1) 5-quart bottle OR (5) 1-quart bottles of Quaker State® Advanced Durability™ Conventional motor oil (receive a $3 rebate)

Mobil Rebates are back up, just in time for spring oil changes!
NOTE that they specifically EXCLUDED AMAZON PURCHASES on this rebate. I called the hotline and verified it's true. However they also verified WALMART IS STILL HONORED. So Walmart is where you will likely find it for the best price, and still be able to use the rebate.
