Unlocking doors with remote on 96 SC300
Just bought a used 96 SC300. Dealer provided a fob instead of a key with the button for the remote (which is pictured in the 95 owners manual we were given instead of 96). I can't tell if the fob is standard equipment instead or a substitute. Anyway, when we unlock the car with the fob, only the drivers door unlocks. Not the passenger door even if you press the button again. This doesn't seem right. Should the fob be able to unlock both doors?

Yep, my 96 came with that stupid thing also. But, yes, it will unlock both doors. Wait about 1 second after you hear the first beep then press the unlock button again and you should hear a couple beeps to tell you that the passenger side has been unlocked also.
