Talking SC300 VS Supra Twin Turbo

Hi, My friend and I plan to race against each other on Saturday night. The time will be 30 Seconds or 0-140MPH, what ever come first. He promise to run his 6SP Supra at 15PSI of boost max on stock Turbos. I will run both NOS spray at the same time and S-AFC set at +5% from 1000-6000RMP. Who do you think will win? Just make a fun vote and I will post the result on Sunday.
Thanks

It all depends on what is done to the Supra and it is up to how good the drivers are.

I ran my friends Supra TT on Sunday. He holds the record for fastest stock fueled, stock twins Supra in the 1/4 mile with 11.53. His car only makes 426rwhp. He was running 17psi, I was running 14psi in my Lexus SC300. I thought I had a good chance because I am making more power than him ... but his car is just so damn quick He got me by about 2 cars. I did have a passenger ... so that was extra weight (he was by himself) ... and he was running a couple more PSI of course ....

Good luck regardless.

He is currently installing a Garage Advance T61 Single kit ... so we plan to rematch when that is finished up and when I am tuned to a bit of higher boost.

I raced a TT at 15 psi and I beat him from about 60 on up. He said he shut it down at 165 because he said he wasn't going to catch me. He had front mount, full exhaust, and about 17 psi. I guess that bpu++. Beat him by about a car the three times we raced.

How did you manage to remove the speed limiter? I heard they are almost impossible to get rid of.

I think there is a thread in SF where a guy in colorado ran 10.9 or so with stock twins. But that is beyond the point. I think henry is gonna get it handed to him.

Lightbulb Stock TT 18PSI

Stock Supra TT can run all day with 18PSI from stock Turbos. I saw a lot of Supras with simple mods such as Electronic booster control, intake system and exhaust can run 11 Seconds 1/4 miles at around 115-118MPH on street tires. I also tested my friend's Supra, it is very fast especially after 70mph boy that think might smoke Viper too .

You can search the Supra Forums all day long and when you find me a Supra that went BELOW 11.5 in the 1/4 mile on stock twins and stock fuel and 94 octane or less, just show it to me. Because I don't think you are going to find one

I know they are fast, that is why I lost

Angel did you race him from a stop, If so, did he pull immediately? I can't really see a BPU pulling on you after you get rolling. I've run several local BPUs, mostly garden variety with 400rwhp or less and have never had a problem at all. What a/f are you tuned at? Your clutch and driveline is what is gonna hold you back.

On the original post, 125 shot on an NA SC300 is still only around 125+225=350. 350 is only around 300rwhp. BPU Supras are generally 350-400 at the wheels with less weight than an automatic SC300. He should leave you in the dust.

Angel, as you know, BPUs don't thrive on race gas like cars running big singles. Running 18psi on pump gas is possible on a BPU car, but when you put in the race gas and attempt to dial in more boost, you're way past the efficiency point and just start generating heat, instead of hp. Get a race gas map for that AEM and SP63 asap, dial up 22psi (if you have enough fuel), and smoke that pesky little BPU.

I raced him from a roll. My A/F was at 11:1. He got the jump on me, and he definitely pulled me in 3rd gear. I don't think I need anything more than 15psi and no passengers to keep up with him. 22psi and it wouldn't even be close. His car does have a bunch of weight reduction and my has a bunch of weight gain even with no passengers.

Talking

take all your weight out!!, go wild, take your pass seat out, jack, spare tire, carpets, hell even the rear seats !!... oh yeah, and make sure you got only around 1/4 or less of gas, even though is safer to have a full tank... oh also if you wanna get wheels only for weight reduction, search for 93-on rx-7 wheels, yeah i know they are only 16's ( x8) but hell you are going straight, not into a autocross course, they weigh 14lbs or so each!! <yes, they will fit the sc with no problem...>
