Can SC400 parts be put on SC300's?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but the title sums it up pretty good, but I was thinking late at night about this topic. I own a '92 SC300 currently and have been searching for cars to use as parts cars, but the only cars I can find are SC400's. I've heard that SC400's have more beefy stuff on it and was just curious if you could put suspension parts from the SC400 on a SC300? It goes beyond suspension, I was also curious if you could use the lights and bumpers and some panels, since they are basically the same body. And would it even be worth it? I can find SC400's that have visual and suspension modifications, but have transmission/engine problems for sorta cheap. I'm new to the car modding stuff. And only have resonator delete done to my SC300. But would like to know if this is possible and if it is, how much of the parts could be transferred over? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Suspension is the same. The aluminum 1UZ and iron 2JZ are basically the same weight. The slight extra weight of the SC400 comes from things like the extra exhaust header and cat, bigger brakes, spoiler, etc.
The only parts I can think of that are not directly interchangeable are engine related.

So, I'd be able to transfer most over, good to know. Only wanting to get a SC400 as a parts car since I cannot find any SC300's on my local craigslist.

But I would think it would be worth it to wait so you have a true parts car including engine. I have bought 4 in the last 1-1/2 years and I live in Mississippi which is not necessarily a huge pool to purchase Lexus vehicles. You just have to be willing to travel three or four or five hours.

I know earlier SC300's have 15" wheels vs 16" wheels on the SC400, still interchangable. Other than the engine, I thought the biggest difference was the brakes, with SC400 cars getting bigger rotors and calipers(hence why they have bigger wheels to clear the bigger brakes).
