I had a 89 Supra Turbo and the plastic top of the Radiator blew its rubber gasket. I had a new gasket and top installed. Today, I would get a new Radiator. Another problem with the Supra Radiator was all the junk trapped between the radiator and condenser. Does our Coupes have the same problem?

Looks familiar; when the heater control valve malfunctioned on our SC300 and the back pressure blew the main radiator hose..... It is a mess to clean up, too. Will likely have to replace some of your wiring as well....... If you still have your hood liner, wash that.

I'm happy that my '92 has a total copper radiator. Did you use a wetting agent in your coolant? Looks like it to me. It's nasty stuff, and not really needed as the SC's have a rather robust cooling system.See if you can find a 100% copper radiator, because they can be repaired. It sure made a mess.

I ended up buying the OEM Denso unit from Rockauto for $80something, but I have the SC300, and you have the SC400, so yours is a bit more expensive.

$147 pre tax and shipping, shipping on rockauto wasn't very bad for how big it was.

Hey you are the man, just ordered the Denso radiator for around $160 you were right a bit more expensive but WAY cheaper compared to others i've seen for around 300!! They just love to screw luxury drivers i guess but thanks a whole bunch for leading me in the right direction. I was looking for a copper core too so it all worked out you guys are the best!!!! Thanks again!!!!

I doubt that valve would go bad and do that normally. But either way, they are pretty cheap on ebay used. I replaced mine on my old SC300 when it started weeping coolant causing the rod to stick so my climate control would sometimes not adjust the temp when the **** was turned.
