Unhappy Why no SC for the SC?

I was just looking at a site that sells alot of TRD products, have you noticed they have a readily available supercharger for basically every toyota and lexus except SC series and LS series? I wonder why this is... I mean cmon now, the solara has one, the toyota 4.7L trucks can have it, The SC is one sporty ride, they really should make one available for about 4-5 thousand that adds somewhere around 75-100 horsepower and similar torque gains. I'm sure there would be a very large market for such a product. Don't they already make a super for the GS400 and 430?

No market.

The Solara sells a lot more than the SC and there are more car tuners under the Toyota badge than the Lexus badge. Also the TRD blower for the 1MZ-FE Solara fits the Camry, Avalon, Sienna, ES300, RX300, too---much bigger market!! An SC400 blower would be a one-off product since the engine configurations vary from the GS400, LS400, LX470, Tundra, etc...

SRT makes a twin turbo and supercharger for the GS because their claim to fame was supposed to be "fastest Lexus in the world" and they chose the GS as a platform since it prett much is the fastest stock Lexus .

If you want a blower, I keep telling people this, but Forced Air Technologies sells the Terracharger blower kit that works with the 1UZ-FE. It is very well priced, cheaper than the SRT blower, fits under the stock hood just fine, and is probably the best bet at SC400 performance you can get. Buy it, take it to a tuner shop and they will tune the car for you. Bang you have a blown SC400!

Default thanks

hey thanks,
Nice product, I'm glad someone makes one for our cars. I'll consider getting one someday... it is expensive but hey, 100 hp and 100 torque doesnt come cheap.

Yeah, +100hp and +100tq is a nice base figure, but I'm more interested in how much more it can be built up on our motors

I envision a turboed 5 speed calling your name Rich. You will drift to the dark side (waving hand and using the force )

I think the BIG question is, why doesn't L-Tuned or L-Sport come out with anything for the SC's????? I mean, this is their SPORT coupe (sportier than a sport sedan (esp. from 92-97)IMO), but oh well

Once I get my exterior the way I want it, I think I will pursue that....unless something pops up in the next few...

V8 power coupled with F.I. = lots of fun IMHO
