The hills in SF do get annoying while driving a manual car. I went to San Mateo 6 or 7 years ago for a car show, and my friend wanted to do rolling shots on the golden gate bridge before we headed back home, so we had to drive a manual F350 dually with a loaded trailer through SF. It was a very nerve racking experience trying not to hit anyone.

My friend will never sell his SC there is too much emotional attachment. He crossed the point of no return 5 or 6 years ago when he shipped the car to Full Race in Arizona. lol

I got mine a while back from a fellow Supra owner and had them on my supra too. He had them professionally restored to new looking and they had new tires in them. Wasn't cheap either.

I get the rare nice comment on my SC, but most people in my area haven't a clue to what it is and are suprised to find out it is a Lexus. Then I have the rednecks that ask me if the L stands for loser and why I don't buy an american car instead of that jap junk. I tend to feel like Rodney Dangerfield and just can't get no respect.LOL. Even my import guy thinks they're a pain and to expensive to maintain, and he races Toyotas! I'm not deterred by all the negativity and continue to enjoy the car.

I'll get a compliment maybe once a year... too many nicer cars around in West LA for anyone to notice mine. Plus mine is perpetually dirty..whoops

Just wash your car. I'm sure your car will get a lot of love.

Received a compliment on my SC today at the carwash. The lady next to me couldn't believe it is a 1997.

Biggest thing people say is there is no way that is a 1992 and that the SC in that year was before the MK4 Supra
