I love the job you did. If you don't mind me asking, how much money did you throw in to restore it so nicely?

all the other costs with making the 97+ tail-lights fit on a 93
Doesn't cost a single penny...Just widen up the holes a bit and it pops right in...I think Gazi would agree...
There are many methods in poping them in without drilling holes and such...Do a search...Manaray did his tails with no drilling of any sort..Mayb you should contact him for info..

Very nice indeed Aliga! What kind of clear corners did you use or did you home brew them?
What is the name of that paint color- I love it!

When I repaint the car I would either stick with the stock green or go to silver, but I think silver might look weird with a tan interior- you think?

Captain Bone: After all said and done, the car with all the repairs and upgrades, I think I spent around $14K, I purchased the car a year ago for $7500. I could have kept the price much lower, but I splurged on the rims, wood wheel, alarm, etc, new headlights, etc.

One Hot SC400: Dennis you are right about the lights, either you can force them in or just widen the holes with a drill or a file.

tggoodrich and jdmsoarer: I got these clears more than 4 years ago from Japan for $150, not sure who the manufacturer is, if you need some I can ask my friend in Japan to inquire about them

legendary: I fix cars on the side. My brother has a twin of my car, but his is a sc400 with a bomex kit, I will have him clean his car and take some side by side pics in the future.

Next item on the list is the turbo!

Thanks all for the great comments, I tried to keep the car classy and am waiting for Manaray to chime in on the car. If he approves, then I am good to go!

Gazi, maybe I'll bump into you again somewhere in queens...We can be brothers, our cars are the same color anyway...When you get the turbo let me know, I gotta come check it out in person...

Great work...

By costs I mean, I have a 93 so if I put in the 97+ bumper I would do it all the way and get the 97+ tail-lights ($250+), the mod adaptor so that my warning light does not light up on my dash($200something unless I can wire it) and the mod adaptor that would keep my tailights from going crazy fast (not that much $$). If I just get the back skirt then I would not need to mess with all these costs and just keep my 93 tails. I agree I can just use my 93 tails but... if I put the 97+ bumper I might as well and go all the way with the 97+ tails. I have seen a 93 tail on a 97+ bumper and there is a tiny, tiny space on the lower inside corner of the tail-lights - maybe I am too picky but I notice it. So those are the costs I am talking about.

I agree with lawman, a Lexus deserves perfection. Having the 97 tails on a 92-96 bumper does leave a gap. In doing the FULL 97+ conversion the tails, bumper, extensions, and electronics the price does add up quickly. I really like that rear lip, any word on a manufacturer yet? All in all very good job, is this one a keeper?

The sides should cost about 400 at the dealer for a set of two.
