Yikes...
For the past several months Iv'e enjoyed complete superiority over all my freinds rides, in both luxury and in performance. The closest one was my freind chris's 92 Civic hatchback... and he was way behind... 0-60 in 10 seconds, quarter mile in 17.2, basically I blew him away by 20 car lengths everytime. As it turns out, his civic was totalled last week and he already has a replacement: a bone-stock 1993 Integra GS-R. This is the first year for the 1.8l dohc engine. As far as what Ive read so far, this integra is not all that far behind an SC400... I find that hard to believe though. In the interest of staying competitive, I'd like to know what this car's actual test specs are.

for a 93, the gs-r had a 160hp engine pushing 117 torque. i dont know the numbers for the 93, but in 94 they up'd the horsepower to 170hp at 7600rpm, and with 5 speed manual its stated as 7.0 seconds 0-60, so we'll assume about 7.1-7.2 or so for the 93 model. your 92 sc4 is rated at 250hp at 5600rpm, with a 0-60 time of 6.9. unless you can produce a very good powerbrake launch, the gs-r would probably take you off the line but you'd pass him once you reached highway speeds. his 4 banger wont be able to hang once you get up to speed (your engine is literally more than twice his in both displacement and cylinders )

phew.
I wasn't all that scared to begin with... Iv'e already raced two integras and blown their doors off.. at low speed, mid speed, and obliterated at high speed. The only car I have a desire to beat that actually is very competitive with us would be the 3.2 TLs.... the ECU engineering im getting in a few weeks will give me a fairly big advantage over them.

I remember my friend had a GSR and my other friend had a SC3 5spd...
When they hit second theres no match...SC3 smoked the GSR....
In your case, If a SC4 were to match up with a GSR..You'll definitey beat him on a roll...0-60 is doubtful...SC4 is really heavy (est 3300lbs)...and the GSR is under 3000lbs....
After 60 the V8 will kick in and then you'll probably get at least 5 car lengths on him...IMO

All the people round here in jacksonville have a civic or integ a couple SI and GSR`s, All of them say that a lexus is not spupose to be on the street racein but i dont even have and thing done to my car (yet) and i still spank them with no problem. the only ones i have a problem with are the boosted ones with turbo and stuff or nos but still mange to come back and get them.

integra not bad at all
90-93 acura integra is faster than 94-2000 integra. I don't know much about integra but most of my friends said that 90-93 stock engine is stronger than newer one.

My car before my sc300 was a 91 Integra GS. Non vtec, it had 130hp. 92-93 Gsr's have the b17a, I believe they are 160hp, but Im sure you would whoop on him. Those integras are heavy, I know the 94+ style is lighter. I know I didnt have a vtec, and vtec does make a fairly big difference after 3rd gear, but you should destroy him. My sc stomps all over the GS, the b17a is very similar to the b16 (2000+ civic si) and b18c (95+ integra gsr) though they can be made pretty quick, stock they should be stomped by a 300/400. Btw, im loving my SC, first big mod coming soon.... even though non performance, my loud loud system should be numbing.

Nissan ??
Hondas SUX What about a 240 nissan ?? I have a auto 91 240 nissan and stock it is 155 hp, can't rem the torque but the KA motors are like 140 - 150 I think, I will have to look it up but the KA motors stock are very nice... Also the 240s only wt like 2300lbs, I can beat most slightly modded hondas and eclipses, but I have been beat a few times.... I know I could get a SC off the line and also prob take it in 1/4 but anything over that I am ******ED... If I recall a stock 240 is like high 15s on 1/4.....
Shawn
Still debating on if I want to swap to a SR20DET or rebuild the KA and turbo it... I don't want to turbo my Lexus because I bought it as a luxury everyday car and I don't want to lose that, but I got a SC for the get up and go if I needed it and it looks the BEST out of all of the Lexus models

I had a 93 GS integra
pretty much stock besides an RSR Exhaust and Intake... I use to smoke GSR's like nothing and I took out an SC on the freeway.
I don't see why people would get the b16 swap for the 2nd gen integs... They are strong as heck.....

====dude....!
your picking on hondas..............!
good job... good job...=========
Yeah, I'll be honest, I truly hate hondas, and I have no respect for them at all, except NSXs and 3.2 TLs, thats it. Honda was designed to be nothing more than a car meant to start and drive from point A to point B, and in that task, it is successful. It was not meant to be turbocharged and go fast. I have way too many freinds with civics that are constantly upgrading. Its all part of the prolonged process of making a slow, ****ty car, into a mediocrely fast, even ****tier car.

Ah yes.
True it is... Sometimes its not even how fast the car is... It's how fast the car is BUT the manner it gets to its fast speeds. Ever notice that Mercedes, Lexus', porches, Infinitis, BMWs, basically all high end imports might actually be no faster than a Mustang GT or a Camaro, but the reason why the high-end import costs THOUSAND AND THOUSANDS more is build quality, running smoothness, and CLASS.
But I digress. Civics and various lower-acuras arent faster than us, and their overall quality is pretty bad by comparison.... My freind chris once said he could make his car (92 civic) just as smooth as mine just with different struts and more sound deadening materials. I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while...
