Default Rattle consistent with power drain

Can't figure this out. When I am in Drive or Reverse I am getting a rattle from the engine bay, not too loud but defenitely noticeable and it is consistent with the cars power drain. Like if I am at a light stopped with nothing in use then no noise, put the AC on and you get a rattle, turn the wheel rattle, or with the turn signal on the rattle is the same as the signal, tick tick tick, is also rattle...rattle....rattle...
what the hell is this and how do I fix it? Thanks

It could be the alternator.
I need to replace mine as well, but I was quoted 600+ dollars for parts and labor.
It's ridiculous

I was quoted similar for the alt and labor so i took a peek and the job was simple. I took a cresent wrench and released the belt then removed the three bolts for the alt. after dropping it off at the local alt rebuilders shop, the next day i was up and running for a total of $85 bucks. The alt is a SIMPLE job. Not worth paying labor for.
