Is there a good source out there for white faced, or custom guages for a 92 sc? The car is pearl white, and I think that white face guages would fit it nicely. Without getting too ricey of course.

Ok, so there is not a good source eh? How about this. There is company out there that will make custom guages for us. The thing is, are the guages generally the same for lets say, 92 and up lexus sc400 models? Maybe the 300 uses the same guages?

With the Porsche 924 I am restoring, we were trying to make a group effort (in the 924.org forum) in order to get the guages made for us, but there were too many different styles of speedo and tachs that came with the 76-82 models years, and we could never reach our quota. The quota is 20 orders. The person who sends in the guage cluster ***. will get his or her custom guages for free. I don`t have a spare cluster sitting around, so someone else would have to take the initiative.

Check out their website at www.speedhut.com When you get to their website, go to choose model car, and pick toyota and pick one of the models. From there a template will load and you can interact with it and design your custom guages and see what they have to offer.

You can choose from a wide variety of guage colors and schemes.....check them out!

I did a search and found someone tried doing this before, but he does not mention who was willing to make the guages. He also mentions needing 100 ppl to get a discount price. Through speedhut we only need 20-25 ppl to get production rolling...

heres a link to the previous thread..He mentions the es guages are slightly diff. but that the 300 and 400 series sc use the same guage ***. I don`t know the validity of this, and someone would have to confirm.
BTW , I am in no way affilitated with this company...I would just like to be able to get a set of white faced guages for my 92.

call me old fashioned, but doing a full white faced gauge or "flame" gauges wouldn't blend too wel on the sc's. now, on certain colors, like silver or white.... it wouldn't be too bad i guess. i'm just not picturing it. Those links look like a time warp for everyone here. looks like nothing ever came of it.

I like my gauges blackfaced, but if they can get the light coming from behind it whiter and brighter, I'm down!
