Default A/c

Dam peopel that retrofitted my A/C I don't think did it right, it blows NOT COLD when it is sizzling out, do you think I should take it back to them, it has been a year since they did it, but it never really blew COLD... I am so pissed, today was so hot out. When you retrofit R12 to R134a is it suppose to be that crappy? During the night it blows cold, but not freezing.

i just had my system retrofitted. It surely is not as cold as the R12. But If you put it to 68degrees with fan at 2nd setting(2 little bars) its bone chilling cold..

I just had the retro fit two weeks ago and it does not blow as ice cold as it used to with R12 but as stated earlier, instead of keeping it at 72(which used to freeze the car) I moved it down to 68 and am basically getting the same effect.

lexsc3 how much did it cost you to get r134a retrofitted?...
The conversion was $250 with all parts and charging.

gas levels can drop in a year, you may just need to top it off.

its funny but i have my just charge up with 134a without retrofitted or anything replace, the guy who check the charge said it was completely out of r12, so just charge it up with 134a its been working 2 years now no problem and it blows really cold air, it know it might mess up my compressor but its working fine
