There is software in the nissan world called "nissan FAST" which can pull up all of the specs and accessories cars came with from the factory based on vin numbers. Does Toyota have something similar? Vin is JZZ30-0025811 and looks to have most of the bells and whistles including the active suspension.

I remember seeing a function like that on TIS, but I think it's only for domestics.

beautiful stock 1JZ/R154 MY1992 with ONLY 14,900 miles for $14,900. It sold (VA) and IMO worth it. it's hard to believe an sc/soarer with that low of a mileage. wished that I had the garage space for one this mint.

makes you want one right?! on a side note, we all know supra seats fit, and there's a supra seat bracket on sale right now at pepboys- NETAMI racing seat bracket. haven't heard of it but for $44.00, it's worth a try...

I am very curious if there are any other UZZ32's with active suspension for sale with lots of JDM goodies. One with low mileage would be very attractive to me. =)

I saw a red 91 1UZ Soarer with 23k miles at my local Lexus dealership. The guy brought it in to get it inspected after he bought it from Meekum Auto.

It was the cleanest old Toyota I have ever seen. It was incredible. The owner bought it for 10k too.

It may have been this one. Red, about the same number miles and the only 91 1UZ soarer sold by Mecum listed on their site. would have broke my neck if I saw such a low mileage one in person. This one may have had the active suspension. check out the top hats in the engine bay where the strut tower bar is supposed to go. maybe the included Japanese manuals would confirm :)

confirmed. soarers with shock tops like these in the engine bay indeed have the active suspension
my bad, active suspension is not to be confused with air suspension :egads:

^^ But the active suspension such as shown in that photo still will only still be found in a real UZZ32 Soarer, right? My understanding was that no other Soarer ever had the option. Some of them had the option for an air suspension but not the UZZ32's active suspension minus 4WS. Is that right?

I think you're right! I may be mistakenly interchanging the two suspensions, when they are two completely different things, doh :egads: I'll keep looking

That's the car. There was a huge crowd around it. Everyone thought is was a plain old SC400. It was immaculate. I have never seen an SC that clean. I wanted that Soarer so bad.

uzz30, similar to SC400. UZZ31 Airbag suspension and EMV, UZZ32 active suspension , 4 wheel steering and EMV Only 832 UZZ32 were made.

KahnBB6 08-28-17 03:15 PM

I thought the total number of UZZ32's was 873, with the very last one possibly not having been completed at the factory.

Thank you for clearing up the Soarer suspension options, tom! So this would suggest that automatic JZZ30's may not have had the airbag suspension or EMV dash options available. Presumably any JZZ30 5-speed manual never had those options and neither would a JZZ31 Soarer.
