Put the V8 infront of the door hinge area/front fender.

The V8 is less than a 1/4 inch taller than the "lexus" script... not a significant difference and it matches perfectly. I dont think it would look better mounted on the roof pillar and certainly not on the fender. The wood trim matches perfectly, but it does have a glossier look to it. Im finiky, but not atrociously finiky, as long as the cars paint job looks excellent and the interior is clean, engine bay is mostly clean, then it is all acceptable.

Looks good.

Did you have to remove the automatic shifter when you install the shifter plate wood trim?

Thanks.

But for some reason I wasnt able to find any of his kits on ebay right now. The "V8" can be bought from the seller "AUTOGOLD@aol.com", this seller deals only with brand new emblems, exhaust tips, and so on. Make not to them that you do not want the "I-force V8" emblem, just the "V8"

The woodgrain kit is a 2-3 hour project, and needs to be taken VERY seriously. DO NOT rush. Take as much time, even 5-10 minutes for a single piece, and make sure it lays properly before you put it down. Once its applied, its pretty much there permanently. I took my time and I did an excellent job.

The most difficult piece is the one that goes over the shift plate with the "PRNDL" make sure the clear holes in the wood piece line up perfectly with the responder lights for the appropriate gears!

I dont believe it was nessesary to remove the shift **** when installing the wood trim, but I also installed my cupholder right before i did the wood dash, so it was already off and I should say, I think it went through easier. Take your time doing this, especially making sure you line up all the lights with the holes on the piece.
