I've know Luthor for 2+ years.... He would never have shipped the bumper in that manner....... especially when the bumper was in prestine condition to begin with....... I remember 2 years ago when I gave him a SC400 front lip.... he took that baby home wrapped napkins from wendy's to protect it and the car even though the lip was all scratched up and stuff.... and believe me it was alot of napkins.....

I hope things work out for both parties....

As soon as I read the bit about UPS being told to put the bumper in a wardrobe box, I knew it was their fault and not Lex's. Looking at the pics, the box in question was not a wardrobe box (nowhere near large enough).

Also, I have had enough similar experiences with UPS to know what asshats they are.

Lex in know way was I here to slander your name. If you look back at the posts I posted that it was done by UPS and not you. I didnt even want to post your name to this thread because I KNOW that you are a man of your word and that I didnt want to bring any wrong doing to you. I was always confident that this would be taken care of. When I contacted UPS they told me a different story, thats all. If they are truely at fault then its all good cause they will have to fix this. I apologize for any misrepusentation you may have of me posting this thread but I do not appreciate you talking to me as if I am any lesser of a respectable man than you. I'll have you knoe that there is NO "daddy" in this family!!! I pay for ever damn thing I do for this car, and I dont need those comments wrongly pointed in my direction. The only reason my father was invlolved at all was because it was on this credit card. Dont blame me for acting on what I am told. I have PMed you three times in the last 4 days and have yet to recieve any response from you. Put yourself in my position, you would be doing the same thing. Which is figuring out who packed it and who is responsible for its current condition!! THATS IT....

If UPS packaged that they want shafting, reminds me of the lady in the parts counter queue, all the hairy arsed bikers, diesel fitters and car mechanics behind her in the queue thinking "oh no, she will be here for hours", they were all pleased to see that hubby had given her a note for the parts man "a head gasket for a 2.0l Ford Pinto please", she even had the chassis/engine numbers written down.

The guy whips out a head gasket from the stores, also pleased he did not have the usual issues and says "that will be 22 Pounds please", as he got her change from the till he looked back at the lady and said "that will be 22 Pounds for another head gasket please".

Now this lady was not for fooling and replied "I dont think I need two of them" - "oh yes you do" replied the storesman, "why is it that my husband only asked for one" retorted the lady,

"because your husband did not know you would fold it up and put it in your purse!"

 

I guess it goes to show you, if you don`t do it yourself, it doesn`t get done right!

I'm not going to get into a back-and-forth with you, but don't get it twisted. You DID blame me instead of UPS, don't act like you didn't. And if you didn't want to post my name, then why did you? Nobody twisted your arm. If you were confident this would be taken care of, like you said, you wouldn't have made this post, and it IS slanderous, and you know it is. I work very hard to help out and hook up CL members as best as I can, I wouldn't screw any of you guys for any amount, let alone a lousy hundred bucks. And as for there being no 'daddy' in your fam, why did he call me and tell me he was a friend of yours? You push a Lex coupe but don't have your own credit card? And there is not a SINGLE pm you sent me that I didn't respond to, so you continue to misrepresent the situation. Let's bring an end to this, please e-mail me up-close pics of the crack so I can make a claim with UPS, and we'll get this solved. Kay?
