it's a common problem.....sounds like problem i had, especially if was running the a/c and abrubptly turned it off..the idle would drop hence, the engine stall...the part needing to be replaced is called the:IAV valve...idle air valve-an electonic component located in the front of the engine...good luck!

Fuel Pump ECU
Search for Fuel Pump ECU, and look at my thread- Engine Stalls
Hallmark: Cold starts fine. Engine stalls on hot starts. Early problems I ve noticed included engine stall when cruising to stop. Later problems was the hot starts.
Check the engine codes. If normal, try the Fuel Pump ECU bypass. It is cheap and quick.
Good Luck. My early problems were just like yours and progresssed to stalls on Hot starts.
Just fixed it with with FP ECU bypass 2 wks ago.

i wonder if its the fuel pump ecu for me too.
the only time my car stalls is when i turn off my AC.
when i turn on my AC, the rpm jumps 300rpm from idle, but when i turn it off, it drops down to 400rpm, and dies

Its happened on my car many times, usually in the cold months and I dont have the AC on. When you step on the brakes, you can almost tell if its going to happen or not if you see your RPM go below your normal idle level. my idle level is usually around 500. maybe if i took it in for a tune up and increased the idle rpm, would it stop the problem? I figure in the hot months, I have the AC up, so that increases the idle to around 1000, thats why i never get the problem in the summer.
