Default car almost stalling when i first start it?

sometimes when i start up the car the car's rpm drops really low like to 200-300 then it pops back up to normal speeds. What is up with this. I have the ac and radio on already when i start the car that is probably drawing a lot but this is a bit extreme. You guys think i need to change my alternator? Any other ideas on what the problem is?

check all your connections b4 you invest in anything. You'd be surprised what a little tightening of your connections will save on your wallet..

battery...alternator....mabey even your air filter....lol this kind of reminds me of the time when you go to pull out the old lawn mower and you need to clean the air filter because when you pull that cord it starts then stalls after a second has gone by....lol

The same results can be achieved by unplugging the MAF sensor on the intake. might want to have it tested.

Is it a 300 or a 400? My SC4 does the same thing when I start it up. It used to die at stoplights with the AC on. I took the MAF sensor out and sprayed it off with brake clean, that seemed to help a bit. But, then I ran codes on it and it was the only thing that showed up. So I'm replacing it. Hope this helps man. Take care.

Matt
