Trunk struts for 1996+
It seems everyone who advertises trunk struts cuts them off at 1995. Are they different for 1996+ cars?
I have a 97 with a spoiler and am tired of getting bonked on the head with my trunk lid. Anyone know if the newer ones are different? Any other suggestions on where to buy. It doesn't seem right to use a broomstick.

do a search on this, you should find a few threads about this.
I replaced mine and they are worth it, I cant remember where i bought mine, but they were the same place as someone esle here on CL. they were around 60$ installed easy, and my trunk goes up automatically when i press the release.

I saw numerous threads on replacing them, but are the earlier ones different? Kragen, Autozone, Rock Auto and everyone else stops the listing at 1995. Or are they all the same?

Out of curiosity, do most peoples struts force their trunk all the way up when hit their trunk release on the remote? I never thought my struts were bad, because they hold the trunk lid up, but I never realized that perhaps I didn't have to dig my fingernails under there to lift it up myself.
