Default GS300 VVTi Motor swap to Non VVTi SC300

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was curious if I could use the stock computer from my ‘92 SC300 for my newer motor out of a ‘98 GS300, just bought the motor and am going to refresh it and get it in good condition, just the wiring on the motor is cut. I’m willing to rewire it, just need to know if I need to go buy a GS300 computer or not. Thanks!

No you cannot. Engine harness are not same . One is non vvti and your gs300 2jzge is a vvti motor. ECU functionalities are different being one is with a distributor and the other distributor less and uses COP.

Thank you, I figured I’d just make sure. Now another question, which computer and harness should I get? I’ve read that some people have used Aristo computers instead of gs computers. Since both of them are VVTi.

Are you planning on running it NA? If so, you should get the normal VVTI ECU. The Aristo ECU is made for a twin turbo engine.

Alright, might get ECU and wiring harness from a '98 SC300 as it's the most cost effective. Thanks!

Are you simply just seeking the VVTi functionality? Seeking more efficiency and torque on a stock motor?
