Default onelasttry...

onelasttry have you thought about adding an on/off switch (if you haven't already) to the top spotlights... Just in case someone would want to turn them off if you did offer this as a service to people to redo their clusters...

Just throwing that out there...

i could add a switch, but you'd really need to see the dash in person to understand. it has been setup to all work together perfectly. taking any part of it away would kill it.

vssc... woo wooo

OK Let's go to school.

What we have here is a picture of the ODO Rush asked about. These displayes are called Vacuum Fluorescent Displays. They are basically vacuum tubes. Since they are vacuum tubes, they heat up quickly and must remain hot to perform correctly.

They have a grid, which you can see as 3 lines running across the face from left to right. Then a cathode also called a filament or heater. the plate side is the anode. The heater/cathode is a fine tungsten wire coated with a material such as barium oxide. The cathode gives off electrons when heated. The grid is a stainless steel screen. the plate is the collector of electrons in the triode tube.

Now, wasn't that easy?

review this pic i took from my engineering book for reference as to what it looks like inside of the screen.

and here's the shot of it out of the board

Brian, how much time to make all of that happen?
what is the turn-around-time/backlog (if you don't mind me asking?)

I would love to get mine done. Wowsers, Batman...you've got it going on with these gauges. Then I could get my AC unit converted as well.
nice

Leon, I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you are asking me if I've let onelasttry done mine, then the answer is nope~ I just finished my final exam last week and have finally gotten time to work on my SC now, and I've just done the BG TDC package which showed great improvement after I changed my oil(after I used the BG things, the car ran horrible but you can tell the deposits are gone, then it ran sssooo smooooooooooth after I changed the oil!)

I'm asking about the gauge lights because the one lighting up the temp gauge just burned a few weeks ago, and I'm trying to look for alternatives cuz I don't feel like going to the local lexus dealer to get the bulbs. Well, I've got to send Onelasttry my AC unit within a few days anyways, will let you know then.

Onelasttry, amazingly, all the needles in my 92 are still working perfectly and I hope I won't need them serviced anytime soon. What I need is the light bulb lighting up the gauge(scales), and I'm still wondering about where I can get them. BTW, I havne't tried the local lexus dealer yet~
