Thanks- I didn't know about that site . . . they have some cool stuff you couldn't get anywhere else. I am close to getting an in-dash DVD player/monitor, and one of my main concerns was that I be able to make the install look good. That piece would be perfect.

I was messing with a combination waterfall / SMD type needle and came up with one that fires three shades and three colors. weird looking needle. Would fit my "sunset" cluster i have been wanting to design though. this one isnt so hot, but it holds potential.

And here is the "proof" that the dual voltage problem has been overcome. This is the first shot of any dual color SMD / Waterfall combo that has ever actually worked on a real cluster.

The problem has always been that i need two completely different voltages to run the waterfall V/S the SMD. The waterfall can see no more then 3.4 volts while the SMD's run betwen 8 and 12 volts or they wont turn on. Problem is, there is only one contact.

After three months of paperwork, i tested it tonight and it worked! I actually have two different voltages running on one single contact. That was fun to figure out how to do. Below, the orange and yellow showed but the red tip was hard to photo. However, it worked and i am very happy. This opens the door for any color combo of needles now to be ran dual color and it will work!

Choices are good! Got me thinking about how good a red cluster with ice blue needles that have hyperwhite tips would look. Keep up the innovation. Me likes very much.

Uh huh... I'm down with that, but I think I would keep the needles purely blue, then match my AC to the same red.
