same one's are in my car no problem also RUSHgators car, must not have sunk into the bulb bases well. Rushgator has the bulbs and they are fine have been for months now. since i sent them to you and you installed them yourself, i can't say how you installed them. they dont burn hot enough to radiate heat, it would have had to been sitting directly on the plastic. I just joined this website today, and it is the best thing since sliced bread. I read a large portion of this thread, and I am noticing that everyone is using the bulb caps you can purchase at most electronic stores. Why is this? I work at a custom car shop and we sell the 194 wedge bulb in all sorts of colors. APC makes them, and they come in red, blue, green, hyper white, purple, and so on. Has anyone given these a try? Just wondering before I get started.

if you read further into the thread, we do not use 194 bulbs.

Default blue LED conversion on center console unit...

my first post..and my first conversion after Brian did an excellent job replacing my dead instrument needles for ES300. I decided to try replacing bulbs with blue LEDs on the center console and the stock pioneer radio unit. I had to point the LEDs downwards to prevent bloching. It seems pretty smooth...so far, no blotches. 3 super bright blue LEDs with resistors for 10.8 volt input from unit.

more pix to follow after I put this thing back in my car..

Default voltage ??

I don't know if this is the right forum byt I think it is.

I changed my cluster bulbs and put in the sylvania 194's.
It is defenitely better but not as bright as I would have thought, if you put the lights on during the day it is still hard to see the lights.
Do I have a power problem or something or is this as bright as they are ?
They seem that if I put the blue caps on them from OLT like I want I wont be able to see them that well.
Any ideas.

I do not see how you physically fit 194's into the cluster. the base is double wide, and the bulb is huge. did you mean a different part #?

Either way, wrong bulb.
