You guy's know how picky camera's are right? things your eyes can't see the camera always seems to pick up. it would take something really balanced good to take a pic with no spotting .... well i happened to take that pic tonight. this "16" is so flat across the cluster it really doesn't even spot up with a camera. I'm happy

Aaaa-ha! so that's the trick.. } Putting LEDs flat against the cluster..

After I upgraded all the bulbs with white LEDs (2 each hole), spotting drove me nuts. I was going to take apart to do something about it.. (add more LEDs, or turn LEDs 90 degrees, which would dim the cluster overall, etc..). The spotting is much more visible during daytime for some reason. Like "3" on tacho is much brighter than "7" for example.

I think I'm going to take the cluster apart again, and try putting the LEDs falt against the cluster.

You got mad skillz O.L.T.

Your cluster looks awesome.

putting them flat against the cluster would keep it from spotting but would be very dim. "flat" i am referring to is the contrast peaks. there are none, the image is flat and has no bright points and yes..... they are in the stock holes

here is nextlevels cluster, it had 2k whites coming in. Now, having 2k whites makes the factory bulbs look terrible (not that they need much help) but here is what it looks like having 6k's sitting beside the 2k's.
nevermind the blue middle bar on the gas gauge, i was playing

Please forgive me but I am soo interested in what you are doing with these clusters. When you refer to the bulbs as 2k and 6k what exactly does this mean ?
And just to reassure me, us mere mortals can not change our bulbs to these I am assuming an experienced person like yourself must do it ?

the K is the MCD output.

what "I" am doing you couldn't because you don't know how i am doing it, but to just change the bulbs, you could do that. i am not using bulbs though.

those needles look very clean and sharp! nice color against that white background. tight that green adds i nice contrast to the dash... not as "loud" as the reds, but swwweeett.
