There is more "plumbing" in an SMD needle than Ace Hardware. And yes... the face of that needle is yellow, who can guess?

Now really... who is the only schmuck that would sit for 3 strait days under a magnifying glass and do this 138 times? (

ok let me see if i can tackle this. the 11k's will be too blueish. they are like HID kits, the higher the number, the more blue they are. i have found the 6k's are pretty much perfect. i solder everything into the board when i use them.
as far as the bulbs go for the CC, i have found the proper bulbs, but they are still susceptable to failure due to the voltage spikes of the electrical system when using blinkers and such. once long ago i found a tech bulletin on this from lexus and have never seen it since. instead i use 14 volts bulbs with a direct hardwire. they are never in danger of being juiced since they run above the alt voltage. i have abandoned the led's in the climate units because i just cannot get it perfect.
i'll pm you some info also.

PTkim, the display looks great!!! Thanks for the video. I take it that you hardwired the LED's in the cluster? I think it would be great if we could socket the LED's. I know you were having trouble some time ago with spotting --- did you find setting them at 45 degrees did the trick? I seem to remember that Brian said they worked best straight on for him. The illumination in your pic looks very smooth and even. Brian felt that the 11K LED's in my link may be too blue. The 10K's you used look great in the picture. Are you pleased with the color? And I agree with you on the resistors --- one per pair is the way to go.
Guess I'm gonna have to break down and work on this thing soon, but today I'm working on my passenger headlight, 'cause it got moisture in it for the first time last week. I took it out and apart last night (did the oven thing) and cleaned it and polished it up real well (The glue they used is a real pain!). It's off to Home Depot for some clear silicone to put it back together!!!

Right, radio deck and CC units LCDs are slightly diffrent in terms of shades. CC unit's LCD is a bit lighter, due to three LEDS being used as the backlit, as opposed to radio unit's two.
The difference is very subtle, and the difference is same as how the stock units looked like with halogen bulbs with blue caps.
on the Climate Control unit...the back of the LCDs have three compartments. I fitted each compartment with one white LED each beam pointing down. On the radio unit, I used the existing holes (two on each end) and fit in LED bulbs, but beam is pointing center towards the middle. I guess you just have to take them apart to see.
