Unhappy Waterfall Needle blacked out at tip

O.L.T.:

I tried you via PM but got no reply.

My speedo waterfall is blacked out at the tip. I know that the waterfall is supposed to fade nicely (the tach is acceptable in my case) but my speedo needle is totally blacked out at the tip and it's not only very annoying to the eyes but it's just plain unattractive. I'm at the same place with the factory blacked out needles and the reason why I had them upgraded in the first place.

I've decided that I'd rather go for another method of needle illumination to fix this. Is is possible to trade in my two waterfall needles for red SMD ones? Fuel and temp are fine as is, I just need to the two larger needles in red smd.

What would this cost and is there any way to credit the cost (or part) of the original needles since they are not working properly? I'm ready to send in my cluster again.

Please advise.

Has nothing to do with me J, your dimmer is malfunctioning or not full on. Those waterfalls look nothing like that. Anyone here with white waterfalls can tell you that is not how they look unless the dimmer is turned down, or malfunctioning.

I have no pm's at all from you.

Hey Clean, I have the 4000K waterfalls, and they are great at night, visible during the day. No black outs on the ends of the needles. Try to adjust that dimmer as OLT suggested. Looks like you've got it turned way down

Post Dimmer

Hey guys:

Hehe trust me the dimmer is full blast. It's the first thing I tried. It's at the clickstop which is full on. It's working okay because the background is nice and bright and the other needles are crisp and doing their job. If I turn it down, it behaves just like it should.

What are my options here to get this fixed?

Thanks.

Hey Brian, quick question. I've been considering the SMD's for my SC but I read where you have the needles blank out at idle due to the heat build-up with 138 SMD's running. I just wanted to verify that this is how they work and I was wondering if you blank out all 4 needles. Also, is this based on engine RPM or output voltage from the alternator? (which could vary from vehicle to vehicle). I'm not sure if I could handle the needles blanking out, as I monitor them at idle ...

Thanks!

Default gauge problems

Hi Brian,

I recently upgrade my cluster display and needles. I'm having problems with my temperature gage. It's fluctuating. Yesterday, it basically stay at the second mark from the bottom up after I have driven the car for about 25 minutes already. Also, the needle does not pass the middle mark anymore. Before it would pass the middle mark a little. Is this a calibration issues? Any info is greatly appreciated. TIA

Anyone else having the same problems as I

Need to start checking your PM's bro.

Simply lift the temp needle off the contact a little it was shaken during shipment and is touching the face of the cluster, ..no problem.
and using them too.

that pretty much describes the "32"in a nutshell. many have written and stated the 32 looks like the new es330 dash.

Hey Brian, can you make me a cluster white backrgound(instead of the red) followed by red backlight, and red and white needles, with the red spotlight LED's that can be turned of by themselves? Like a separate switch, im realllly interested in this.
