True Ice Blue / Red caps for the clusters !!
#1096
I have an extra cluster which I could let any CL member borrow if they send theirs into OLT. Drop me a PM. I would need a deposit and a few bucks 'rental'. Or, possibly OLT (lextech) has one they send out, check with him also.
I'm actually going to send this extra cluster to OLT (I learned its not really worth trying to do this on your own... see my posts above) soon so I have a 'good' backup (I'm accumulating extra parts for my coupes so my kid's kid's will have em...)

Sorry, but anyone who does that is wasting their time. there is NO PLUG AND PLAY LED that will disperse light properly. That product will not work and even looking at the design it is obvious because it sits directly on the face..

Guy, I have been building lighting displays for 4 years and one of my majors was light waveform. Someone who just registered to post a plug in led as the greatest be all , end all of lighting isn't going to sway the fact that NO plug and play led will work in a stock spot, and we aren't going to go back and forth about it. It is impossible, Your cluster pic just backs up the evidence. If you want a spotted cluster, good for you. I won't let anyone lie to the forum members and say it "works" when it does not.
Any idiot can stick a flashlight to a wall and understand that when you stick it 1/4 inch from the wall it is one big bright dot.
/END.

.............and here is a pic of a flashlight against a piece of paper.
I have spent 3 years building this thread with GOOD info. I will not allow misleading info in this thread nor strife. It has went 60+ pages without bad info in it or strife and I simply will not allow it.
THIS is what your cluster really looks like with the contrast turned down.
A light source stuck to the back of a transparent item. Your camera exposure was .67 sec so you had nearly a second of exposure on that pic.

I don't want you to delete anything. This isn't a bargaining table, it's an info thread to help people. That's why we spent 60+ pages taking them apart and taking pics and explaining how they work. It's also why bad info is frowned upon. You just can't use a plug and play in the factory position. they need to be elsewhere on the unit.
