Default 1995 Sc400

I'm thinking of trading in my 92 LS400 on a 95 SC400. Took the SC for a nice ride the other day and everything seems fine except for the transmission. (Even once the car is warmed up) When you shift from park to drive it takes about 2 seconds to engage into drive. Also every once in a while when down shifting you may get a slight hesitation or maybe a small clunk ( I can't remember exactly). The transmission in my 92 LS with 360 KM on it does not do this at all. That's why I feel it's not normal and must be something that's causing it. Has anyone experience this before? I'm picking up the 95 tomorrow to take it to the Lexus dealership to have them check it over.

Took the car to the dealership today and had the lexus tech look over it. (And it happened to be the same lexus tech who has worked on the car since it was new) Apparently the car needs to have the transmission taken apart so they can find the problem. They believe it's a valve in the transmission that's causing the problem. Has anyone heard of this before ?
