Wow, $18k sale price. That's certainly a welcome surprise!

Rudy, it still remains to be seen how this very rare model with low miles, very desirable options and such immaculate care is indicative of the future potential for all SC values. It would be a double edged sword shift in trends but ultimately the cars potentially being more valuable would be a good thing I think.

Kahn,

I agree! There's a local with a '95 factory 5-speed w/black leather and all the options for sale here in Denver. The car is second owner and very clean, 90k miles, dealer maintained - he's asking 10k. I was going to go try and low ball a little to buy it and sell mine... However, my father convinced me to keep my car and put that extra money into my house (smart guy - I'm lucky to have such a great dad). Regardless, clearly these cars are gaining value, and guys like us are willing to pay it for the right example. Mine being a '92 with twice the miles and in rougher condition isn't even worth half that to local guys... So I think you're absolutely right - the right examples to the right people are going to start being worth some money, but I doubt they'll come close to Skyline, Supra, NSX, and other awesome Japanese cars of yesteryear's prices.

My only complaint? I can't afford all of the cool Japanese cars I grew up idolizing as a kid haha. But I suppose we've hit our "muscle car" point... No longer do we desire new cars, and the same is true for other people our age. We all want those old Japanese supercars, but now we have to sacrifice a lot more to obtain them.

If it is still around I would love to know more about this SC300/5 in Denver. Let me know if you can!

I would love to get my hands on a factory 5-Speed 1997 SC300 in Royal Sapphire Blue with factory black/tan 2-tone interior.

I think you missed Luxor's point. You have the most common factory 5-spd there is. Luxor mentioned wanting the rarest combo.

BaT is known for higher than market prices tho, so beware. It sucks, I know, if only our car had been featured in a movie.....

Or do R34's sell for the same as the supra? Idk cause I don't follow the market.

I own that plane in the background now! Was it yours?

Huh, that is wild! I unfortunately did not own that plane, it was simply in the background near a hangar that I used to store a few cars in.
