Just curious if anyone has or knows anyone who has purchased a car from Auto Sports of Dallas.

I'm looking for any feedback on doing business with them.

Auto Sports is a member of the BBB if that means anything in this day and age.
Have you heard of anything negative regarding them?
Do you live in the Dallas/FW area?

Never heard of them. Sounds like you are on the right track, though, as you are having the car checked out. See if Sewell can give you a printout of the vehicle service history. This is where I bought my SC: www.txcars.com

I've got Sewell to already pull the vehicle service history this morning. I should know more this afternoon.

do you know what time they open? I work from 12:00-6:15 so before would probably be better. So you don`t want me to worry about mechanical, just look at what shape everything is in?

They are open from 9am - 7pm.
I'm paying Sewell Lexus $375 today to do an all points inspection on the mechanical condition of the car. They can't however give me much of an idea about overall condition, feel, and just the gut feeling about the car. As an SC owner, you would be perfect to check out the car.
If you could, check the oil and the tranny fluid. Look under the oil filler cap for any white foam or residue from water/antifreeze. Smell the tranny fluid and see if it's burnt at all. Wipe the tranny dipstick with a white paper towel and look for any aluminum material in the fluid.
Other than that, have Trey start the car while you stand behind it and watch the exhaust. See if there is any blue smoke when the car is initially started. Check the engine temp to see if the car was previously run or not when you do this. This will tell us a lot about the valve guides.
Take it our for a drive and see what you think about power, alignment, braking, accessories working, and just the overall feel of the car.
There are a couple of dents on the left side that Trey is going to get fixed if I buy the car. Check both door jambs, hood seams (with hood up) and trunk seams (with trunk up) for signs of paint mismatch or overspray from previous body work. The car is supposed to have never been wrecked nor repaired.
Anything else you could catch along the way would be great. I'll PM you with my phone number if you want to call and talk either before or after your test drive.
I really appreciate the effort. I'll find someway to repay you.

EEEKKKSSS
boredguy77,
DON'T GO check out the SC for me tomorrow. I just heard from Sewell and the car is a basket case. It's surging while idling and there are lots of cosmetic things wrong with it. So much so that I'm getting out of my deal with the dealer.
Thanks for your offer to look at the car. I hope I catch you before you go look at it.
Thanks again
