you guys don't get the joke do you?

you supercharge with a supercharger
you turbocharge with a turbocharger

the lead post asked if you can supercharge with a turbocharger kit.

I was just making fun of how the question was worded.... am I the only one who found the wording dubious?

go to a very reputable shop and tell them you want to turbo your car with a supercharger or vice versa.
you'll see the confusion on their faces maybe even some laughs.

way back supercharging was the preferred way of forced induction maybe people would have understood "supercharge my car with a turbo" since then there was a need to defined supercharged and turbocharged. so instead of calling both supercharging and turbocharging "supercharging" they started calling them "forced induction". Now that we have a clear division between supercharging and turbocharging why not use the correct "generally accepted and now correct" terms for calling them what they are?

why is there even an argument what supercharging and turbocharging is? This is starting to get ridiculous.

just imagine saying My twin turbo 300z is superchaged.

Well by reading all the posts YOU were the one trying to make a JOKE out of it so there's your ANSWER :-). I was just stating the definitions from the dictionary.

I guess I should be shot for making a bad joke.
regardless of what the dictionary says it is what it is and it will be what it is.

I guess nobody reads things carefully enough to find the oddity of this whole thread.

Supercharge a Stock V8 with Twin-Turbo Kit?

Please someone help me out!
i truly believe it can be done........

And wot modifications would have to be done???
Well I see this post got way off topic I think what he was trying to get at was if a 400 could have a forced air intake.. Like the 300 owners with their turbo setups.... But I could be wrong... It does sound funny saying Supercharge with a Turbo, or visa versa... I myself have always thought of them as being diff....

Just my 2 cents

From now on we shall use the phrase "Compression Enhancement" !

You can "Compression Enhance" you car with a Turbo, or a Supercharger.

Now, enough with the somantics!
