I could imagine having some drainage and hoses to divert low flow rain water drips around engine. But how about fumes and hot air escaping and being drawn in the fresh air intakes below wipers? - that would be my biggest concern. Lexus went to a lot of trouble to seal the back of the hood with a tight fit rubber seal to keep engine heat and fumes away from fresh air intakes.
In my state we aren't allowed to have forward facing vents.
Karl's bonnet is cut with fibreglass vents installed.

I normally tend to 'avoid' Carbon questions.....only because people around here change their minds more than they change their socks

From what I understand, its this Fall....but Lexus stuff allways ends up getting bumped for other projects.

EDIT~ I've been working on a few things for SC's in my spare time that will be pretty cool this Fall

Any recommendations?

put some washers inbetween the hood hinges and nuts =D

heat venting JDM style

I think we get plenty of air through the front, but the back of the hood has no vents, and the air backs up and there isnt much movement

put some vents on the back of the hood, help air flow and it should help alot not a big fan of schools and reverse vents... let too much water in

I say two turbo style vents to duct air out from the engine =D
