Rhd vs lhd headlights, are the housings different???!
so I have a 96 SC300 and has a broken fender which I replaced yesterday with a clean fender off a 91 soarer, when reassembling the bumper it was the near final step... put the headlight back in.... when I did.... it didn’t fit as the side screws on my headlight are an inch wider spaced apart from the rhd fender...
i am told old in the local sc group that the parts are interchangeable and that I perhaps installed it wrong but that’s impossible as this bolt gap is impossible to fit...
do i happen to have some kind of weird sc?! stumped here

Mounts aside, Soarers typically drive on the other side of the road so the cutoff on the lights is usually on the wrong side. US lights have a cutoff that allows light to broadcast right off the side of the road to light up the curb and less light left to avoid blinding traffic. This means the cutoff will make it brighter to oncoming traffic and darker on the side of the road.

You’re trying to fit the headlight in at a slight angle that’s why they don’t line up. It’s a super tight fit so try to shove it straight into its slot and the two holes on the fenders suppose to fit the two small nipples at the extreme edge of the headlight — not those two 10mm threads.
