Went to the track for our Annual SuperCarsChicago club event today. Perfect weather up there in WI, Great Lakes Dragway. Lots of fast cars out!!

We had the entire track rented out, and there were about 40 cars there total. The staging lanes were WIDE open. I decided to take a pass early on, after letting the car cool down from the 1hr drive there.
Last time at the track my best was a 13.0 with a 2.3 60ft, this car is hard to get out of the hole!!!!
I tried bouncing the revs up and down and then feathering the clutch. Low and behold I managed to hit the following 60ft ( however, the clutch slipped pretty bad in 1st and 2nd on the fastest pass)

60ft - 2.083 !!! Damn happy with that on street tires.
1/4 - 12.674
MPH- 115.63

I back that run up with two 12.7 passes at 116mph.

I was running 18-19psi on the above runs. What I found was when I turned up the boost, I spun too much, netting some slower times.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the car today. The 5spd and RPS 6puck seem to be holding up for now.
This fall/winter I'll be installing the 6spd and a nice big SP turbo

As soon as we get the video of our runs today, I'll post it up, along with a copy of the time slip.

As for the video, where going to try putting it on dvd and burning it for our club. Hopefully, I'll get a nice

Sometimes?? You're lucky. I have that thought cross my mind at least twice a day.

Congrats on the times. Throw some drag radials on that bad boy and lets see what it can do then.

 

12.73 if I remember, that was @ around 12-13 pounds I believe, on Dunlop radials, with the headlamp and midpipe pulled. Chris, she's running nice, glad to finally see some decent short times from you 5spd guys.

Jon, I almost decided to pull the headlight on the car, I probably could have added another mph to my trap. However, I was also the pit crew for my buddies HEAVILY modified supra, so I was working on that most of the day.
For the first time out, his car ran an 11.1@135mph. He's running an SP77, custom intake, SP400, 1000cc injectors etc.. I'll say, the car has a ton left in her! He was only running 25psi or so.

Thx, stressing much until it's done, but every day I get a little more completed. I'm sure there was another couple mph hidden in things like the headlamp, but already you're half a sec quicker than you're last outing. Getting pissed that you're enjoying boost for the whole summer . Your friend's Poopra sounds like it might mug someone, definitely a bunch left in her.
